To generate the correct 8-digit unlock password, you must extract the 16-digit Electronic Radio Code (ERC) from your radio screen. Follow these steps:

Turn your car’s key to the ACC or ON position to light up the radio screen.
Press and hold the main menu button (or top-left button next to the screen).
While holding the button, cycle your headlights (parking lights) ON and OFF 3 to 4 times.
Release the button when the diagnostic screen appears. Select the option labeled ERC or ERC Code.
